The spanking new living room :)
This looks like a lot of work. We’re moving in a couple of weeks into this 3 bedroom townhouse. Wish us luck! Weekend warriors time.

Ground floor - whew, green tiles. We can make it work… I think.

My future favorite place - a pocket garden.
Commander, general, chief, batas.. also known as “the wife” gave me the first paglilihi challenge of this pregnancy last night. The winning food craving was… drum roll please… lumpiang togue! Hahaha. It shouldn’t be too difficult coz I can just buy from one of the jolly jeeps. But noooo… i can’t just buy off the streets – too risky for mrs preggy of course. Hehehe. Here’s how it started… (harps and clouds please – flashback time)
I was driving along dela rosa when I got the sms so my first option was to check out the establishments below the carpark. First stop was tapa king – wala! Next was manong pepe’s (a subsidiary of Jollibee – naks!) – walang lumpiang togue! Back to mr. bonkers and drove to greenbelt 1 which was closer to home. Checked out Binalot – EEEENGK! Wala! Andoks – naddah. Then I remembered, Razon’s! Woohooo! Sure shot… but it was 8 pm already.. CLOSED! Booo! Ha ha ha. Anyway, I remembered Via Mare – all filipino favorites.. Yahoo! I took a look at the menu, no lumpiang togue and just lumpiang hubad. Booo! I asked the waiter, he said yes they have lumpiang togue but he also couldn’t find it in the menu. I told him it was for my wifey – “naglilihi kasi” and he swore that they served lumpiang togue. Finally, he saw a picture of one of their dishes with lumpiang togue as a side dish. There you go. Whew! Ordered 4 pieces and went home a hero. K, Thanks, Bye! Bow.

The Proposal
So here’s my version of how it happened… :)
Prelude:
Most of you know that we initially planned to get married way back in early 2007…
there was no formal proposal then, just an informal announcement to our friends over drinks that we were getting hitched. Some of you know how that turned out :P we broke up for a few months… then got back together in late 2007 …
What I didn’t know then was that Arn already had a ring for over 2 years. He was just waiting for I don’t know what to pop the question!
In hindsight, knowing what I know now, Im glad we waited.
And the formal proposal was actually worth the wait! So guys, this time, seryoso na kami!!! This is it!
Oct 13, 2009 – The Day!
I was on vacation when Arn was planning this major production number for me on my arrival. I arrived with my siblings from SFO at 3:30am and actually got out of the baggage terminal around 5am :D
From where I stood as I walked out of the airport terminal, I just saw Arn with a signboard with my name written on it. Honestly, ang unang naisip ko, “Baliw talga to si Arn. Para kong turista may pa signboard signboard pa”.
Knowing I had poor eyesight, Arn waited til I was mga 2 or 3 feet away until he flipped the sign to show what was written on the other side of the board —- “Will you marry me? :P” (see photo with my niece carrying it)

It happened so fast and my initial reaction was to hug him and ask while I was crying “seryoso ka ba???” Then our friends, my mom, my Ate popped from nowhere taking photos and videos while we were all laughing and crying na in the middle of the airport.

So there… I’d like to say Arn did a pretty good job surprising me. I absolutely had NO CLUE he was gonna do this for me! :D Now we’re planning the wedding for Feb in my hometown, Davao!
I am thanking you guys in advance, especially to those who will be travelling to be with us on our special day. Your presence would be the best gift you can give us on our wedding. See you and let’s have fun at the party! :)
